Medicare can be confusing — but it doesn't have to be. With 20 years of experience and Medicare certification, we help Arizona seniors understand their options and find the right coverage at the right price.
There are dozens of Medicare Advantage and Part D plans available in Arizona — each with different premiums, networks, formularies, and out-of-pocket costs. Choosing the wrong plan can cost you thousands of dollars a year.
As a certified Medicare broker, we compare every plan available in your area, verify your doctors are in-network, check your prescriptions against each formulary, and help you enroll — all at no cost to you.
Your Initial Enrollment Period is a 7-month window around your 65th birthday. Missing it without qualifying coverage can result in permanent late enrollment penalties that follow you for life.
Medicare is made up of different parts that cover different services. Here's what each part covers and what you'll pay.
Covers inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facility care, hospice, and some home health services. Most people pay $0 premium if they or their spouse worked and paid Medicare taxes for at least 10 years.
Covers doctor visits, outpatient care, preventive services, and medical equipment. Requires a monthly premium (2026 standard: $283/month). You pay 20% of covered services after your deductible.
An all-in-one alternative to Original Medicare offered by private insurers. Bundles Parts A & B and usually includes Part D drug coverage, plus extras like dental, vision, and hearing.
Standalone drug coverage added to Original Medicare or some Medicare Advantage plans. Premiums, deductibles, and formularies vary by plan — comparing options is critical to minimizing your out-of-pocket costs.
Original Medicare covers about 80% of costs — leaving you responsible for deductibles, coinsurance, and copays. A Medigap supplement covers most or all of those gaps, giving you predictable, low out-of-pocket costs.
Most comprehensive. Covers all gaps except the Part B deductible. Popular for those who want predictable costs.
Lower premiums than Plan G with small copays for office and ER visits. Great balance of cost and coverage.
Covers everything including the Part B deductible. Only available to those eligible before January 1, 2020.
Lowest premiums. You pay a deductible before coverage kicks in — ideal for healthy individuals.
Original Medicare and most Medigap plans don't cover routine dental, vision, or hearing. We can pair your supplement with standalone dental/vision coverage or recommend a Medicare Advantage plan that bundles these benefits.
Enrolling at the right time is critical. Missing a deadline can mean permanent penalties or gaps in coverage.
A 7-month window starting 3 months before the month you turn 65, your birthday month, and 3 months after. This is the best time to enroll — missing it can result in permanent late enrollment penalties.
If you're covered by employer insurance when you turn 65, you can delay Medicare without penalty. You get an 8-month SEP after that coverage ends to enroll in Part B without a late penalty.
October 15 – December 7 each year. Switch Medicare Advantage plans, change Part D drug plans, or move between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage. Changes take effect January 1.
January 1 – March 31. If you're already in a Medicare Advantage plan, you can switch to a different MA plan or return to Original Medicare once during this period.
Ideally during your Initial Enrollment Period — the 7-month window around your 65th birthday. If you have employer coverage, you may be able to delay without penalty. Missing your IEP without qualifying coverage can result in a 10% permanent premium increase for every 12-month period you were eligible but didn't enroll.
Medicare Advantage (Part C) replaces Original Medicare with a private plan that often includes extras like dental and vision, usually with lower premiums but network restrictions and copays. Medigap supplements work alongside Original Medicare to cover the gaps (deductibles, coinsurance), giving you more predictable costs and no network restrictions. The right choice depends on your health needs, budget, and preferred doctors.
Original Medicare (Parts A & B) does not cover routine dental, vision, or hearing. However, many Medicare Advantage plans include these benefits. Standalone dental and vision plans are also available. We'll help you find coverage that fills these gaps.
With Original Medicare, you can see any doctor or specialist who accepts Medicare — no referrals needed. Medicare Advantage plans have networks, so you'll want to verify your doctors are in-network before enrolling. We always check this for our clients.
Part A is usually free. Part B has a standard monthly premium ($283/month in 2026, higher for higher incomes). Medicare Advantage plans often have $0 premiums but include copays. Medigap supplements range from $80–$250+/month depending on plan and age. We'll give you a full cost comparison.
